Sarah Prosser is an attorney with the Mitzel Law Group PLC serving clients in the Ann Arbor community and greater Detroit Metro.  Sarah focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning and business law.  Her estate planning practice includes revocable living trusts, probate and trust administration, durable powers of attorney, and patient advocate designations.  Sarah has experience with the formation of corporations and limited liability companies, assisting individuals and businesses in protecting assets, and planning for the succession of family and closely owned businesses through stock option plans and buy-sell agreements.

 

Sarah is also able to advise and assist private practice healthcare providers with regulatory and business matters, including entity formation, contracts, insurance billing and reimbursement, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.  During law school, Sarah worked in the compliance and legal departments of two nationally recognized health care systems.  In addition, Sarah is a published author in the area of health care law.  Her note, The Open Communication Model: An Alternative Approach to Medical Errors, was selected for publication in the Ave Maria Law Review.

 

Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Franciscan University of Steubenville, cum laude.  She received her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law, magna cum laude, graduating in the top 10 of her class.  While at Ave Maria School of Law, Sarah received the book award for Research, Writing, and Advocacy II, and was the recipient of the St. Raymond of Pentafort Award for Best Written Advocacy.  She served as an Associate and Senior Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review.

 

Sarah is actively involved in the local Catholic community.  She is also an avid athlete, competing in several adult sports leagues in the Ann Arbor area.
